Sarah Burton 辞去 Alexander McQueen 创意总监一职。即将在巴黎时装周期间发布的 Alexander McQueen 2024 春夏系列将会是 Sarah Burton 为此品牌设计的最后系列。

Sarah Burton 在声明中表示：「我为我在 Alexander McQueen 所做的一切和我的团队感到无比自豪，过去 26 年来这里一直是我的家。我想在此感谢 Francois-Henri Pinault 对我的信任，并为我提供这个绝佳机会。最重要的是，我想感谢 Lee Alexander McQueen，他教会我太多东西，我永远感激他。我期待我未来的下个阶段，并将永远记得这段美好时光。」

Sarah Burton 于 1996 年在中央圣马丁艺术与设计学院毕业后，便开始在 Alexander McQueen 工作。实习结束，她成为 McQueen 的私人助理，并于 2000 年晋升为女装主管。10 年后，她被任命为该品牌的创意总监。

在 Sarah Burton 任职创意总监的期间，她因将女性气质融合至 Alexander McQueen 元素而深受赞誉。2011年，她荣获英国时尚大奖的年度设计师大奖（Designer of the Year Award at the British Fashion Awards）；2019年，她获得了 CFDA 国际奖。
